Job Brief:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Head, you will be responsible for leading the learning and development initiatives, designing and implementing training programs, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development. Your expertise in L&D strategy, instructional design, and talent development will play a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities and performance of our employees.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify the learning needs of employees and design relevant training programs.
  3. Conduct regular assessments of skill gaps and training effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in L&D to introduce innovative learning solutions.
  5. Design, develop, and deliver training programs that address the technical and soft skills needs of employees, including new hire orientation, leadership development, technical training, and professional skills enhancement.
  6. Utilize various training methodologies, such as instructor-led training, e-learning, blended learning, and simulations, to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  7. Collaborate with subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to develop and deliver high-quality training content.
  8. Evaluate and select appropriate training tools and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
  9. Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the organization.
  10. Promote learning opportunities, resources, and initiatives to encourage employee engagement and self-directed learning.
  11. Implement learning platforms or systems to enable easy access to training materials and resources.
  12. Encourage feedback and incorporate employee input into the design and delivery of learning programs.
  13. Develop and maintain L&D metrics and analytics to measure the impact and effectiveness of training programs.
  14. Analyse training evaluation data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
  15. Prepare regular reports on L&D initiatives, training completion rates, and other relevant metrics to share with senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience of 2-3 years as an L&D Manager or similar role, preferably within the software development or IT industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of learning and development theories, instructional design principles, and training methodologies.
  3. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs for technical and non-technical audiences.
  4. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  5. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing L&D team.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  7. Ability to constantly prioritize work with strong time management skills.
  8. Resourceful and ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Bachelor's degree in IT & Master's degree or relevant certifications are preferred.
